Digital Marketing

Digital marketing that turns traffic into revenue

Digital marketing is every channel that brings a buyer to your business online: search, Google Ads, local ads, social, email and the website that has to convert them. aStash runs them as one plan with one report, built from eight years of campaigns for small businesses in Colorado and across the country. Strategy first, then only the channels the numbers justify. Flat monthly rate, no contract.

Every channel is a different door to the same room. The room has to be ready.

0conversions from a single law-firm search campaign

Digital marketing is the set of online channels that put your business in front of buyers and bring them to a page where they can act: organic search (SEO), paid search and Shopping (Google Ads), local ads, social media, email, and the AI assistants that now answer buying questions. The channels are different. The destination is the same: your website, your phone and your inbox.

Most small businesses buy channels one at a time from different vendors. Ads from one agency, SEO from another, social from a freelancer, email from nobody. Nobody owns the number that matters, cost per customer, and the website everyone sends traffic to was never built to convert it. The result is money spent on clicks that bounce.

aStash runs digital marketing as one plan. The strategy decides which channels your business actually needs, the website is fixed to convert first, every channel is tracked to leads and sales rather than clicks, and one monthly report shows the whole picture. You add channels when the numbers say so, not because a package includes them.

One plan

One team at one table, instead of four vendors in four inboxes

Search, ads, social, email and the website are run by the same people in Fort Collins, from one strategy document and one budget. When a channel underperforms, the budget moves the same month, not at the end of a contract.

You get one report, one point of contact and one number that matters: what a customer costs you, by channel.

Which Channel First

How we decide where your first dollar goes

A channel is only worth buying when the business is ready to use it. These are the rules the audit applies.

Fix the website before buying traffic

If the site is slow, confusing or has no tracking, every channel underperforms. Conversion fixes come first because they make every later dollar work harder.

Local services: Google Business Profile and local ads

Plumbers, dentists, lawyers and contractors get most calls from the map pack and Local Services Ads. That is where we start, usually with SEO and local ads together.

Ecommerce: Shopping ads and email

Stores need Shopping campaigns for product searches and email flows to turn one order into three. Social ads come once the product pages convert.

New businesses: ads now, SEO from day one

Ads produce leads in days, SEO in months. Launching both means ads carry the business while organic rankings build, then the budget shifts.

Established brands: SEO and remarketing

A known business with a decent site usually has the most upside in organic search and in bringing back visitors who did not convert the first time.

B2B and high-ticket: content, LinkedIn and email

Long sales cycles need useful content, a presence where buyers research, and follow-up that keeps you in the conversation for months.

Sales funnel

Built for how your customers actually buy

A plumber’s customer searches once and calls. A B2B buyer reads for three months. The funnel is different, so the channels, content and follow-up are different too. We map the real journey first, then put a channel at each stage and a measurement after each step.

The example shows a typical local-service funnel from a monthly report: impressions to clicks to leads to booked jobs, with the drop at each stage visible, which is where the next month’s work goes.

  • Awareness: search, maps, social and display
  • Consideration: landing pages, reviews, remarketing
  • Decision: calls, forms, quotes and follow-up email
  • Retention: reviews, referrals and repeat campaigns

How We Work

From audit to measurable growth in six steps

The same sequence for a plumber and a manufacturer. What changes is which channels survive the audit.

Week 1

Audit every channel

Website conversion paths, rankings, Google Business Profile, existing ad accounts, social profiles, email list and tracking. You get a plain-English list of what is working, what is wasting money and what is missing.

Week 1 – 2

Strategy and plan

Positioning, audience, offer, channel selection, budget split and targets, written down. One flat monthly rate for the plan, no contract.

Weeks 2 – 3

Fix the destination

Landing pages, forms, speed, calls to action and tracking fixed before any traffic is bought, so the first campaigns land on pages that convert.

Weeks 3 – 4

Launch

Campaigns, profiles, email flows and content calendar go live with conversion tracking connected to calls, forms and sales.

Weekly

Optimize

Bids, audiences, ads, keywords and pages adjusted every week based on cost per lead. Budget moves toward what is producing.

Monthly

Report and decide

One report across every channel: spend, leads, sales, cost per lead and what we changed. We decide together what to scale, pause or add.

Our Rules

What we never do, and what we always do

Marketing budgets are lost to habits, not to bad luck. These are the habits we refuse.

Never

  • ✕Spend ad budget before conversion tracking works
  • ✕Send paid traffic to a slow homepage
  • ✕Report clicks and impressions as if they were leads
  • ✕Run every channel because a package includes it
  • ✕Lock you into a twelve-month contract
  • ✕Outsource campaigns to people you will never meet
  • ✕Hide the ad account in our name

Always

  • ✓Set up call, form and sales tracking in week one
  • ✓Build or fix the landing page first
  • ✓Report leads, sales and cost per lead, with calls listened to
  • ✓Run the channels the audit justifies, and add more when the numbers say so
  • ✓Work month-to-month at a flat rate
  • ✓Keep the work in Fort Collins, with the people you talk to
  • ✓Run ads in your account, which you own and can see any time

Tracking

Every lead traced back to the dollar that produced it

Clicks are not leads and leads are not customers. Before a campaign goes live we connect calls, forms, chats and purchases to Google Analytics 4 and call tracking, so the monthly report can show cost per lead and cost per sale by channel, not just spend.

01Call trackingDynamic numbers per channel, calls recorded and reviewed for quality
02Form and chat trackingEvery submission attributed to its source, keyword and page
03Sales attributionCRM or store data joined to campaigns, so revenue per channel is visible

FAQ

Straight answers before you call.

Anything else? (970) 399-9004 reaches a person in Fort Collins, not a call center.

What is digital marketing?

Digital marketing is every way a business reaches customers online: search engine optimization, paid search and Shopping ads, local ads, social media, email, content, and now visibility in AI assistants. It also includes the website and the tracking that turn that attention into calls, forms and sales. A good digital marketing plan picks the channels that fit how your customers buy, connects them to a site that converts, and measures the whole thing by cost per customer.

What does a digital marketing agency actually do each month?

At aStash: manage and optimize the live campaigns weekly, write and publish content, run the email flows, maintain the Google Business Profile, test landing pages, review the calls and forms the campaigns produced, and send one report with spend, leads, sales and cost per lead across every channel. Once a quarter we review strategy and budget split with you.

Which channel should a small business start with?

It depends on how your customers buy, which is what the free audit works out. Local service businesses usually start with Google Business Profile, local SEO and Local Services Ads because that is where calls come from. Stores start with Shopping ads and email. New businesses often run ads for immediate leads while SEO builds. In every case the website is fixed to convert before traffic is bought.

How much does digital marketing cost?

Two numbers: the management fee and the ad spend. The aStash management fee is a flat monthly rate fixed after the audit, based on the channels and the amount of work involved. Ad spend is set by you, paid directly to Google or Meta from your own account, and we recommend a starting budget based on your market’s cost per click and your target cost per lead. Both are in the quote before you commit.

How do you measure results?

By leads and sales, not clicks. Every campaign is connected to call tracking, form tracking and, for stores, purchase tracking in Google Analytics 4. The monthly report shows spend, leads, sales, cost per lead and cost per sale by channel, with the calls and forms listed so you can check lead quality yourself.

Do I need SEO if I am running ads?

Yes, if you plan to be in business next year. Ads produce leads immediately but stop the day you stop paying, and the cost per click rises over time. SEO takes months but its cost per lead falls as rankings compound. Most of our clients run both and shift budget from ads to organic as rankings arrive.

Is social media marketing worth it for a small business?

For some. Social ads work well for ecommerce, events, restaurants, fitness and anything visual, and retargeting on social brings back visitors who did not convert. Organic social is mostly a trust signal: buyers check that you are active and real. For a plumber or a law firm, search channels almost always produce cheaper leads, so we start there and add social when it earns its place.

Do you need access to my accounts?

Yes: your website, Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Business Profile, Google Ads and Meta Business accounts. Everything stays in your name and under your ownership. If you do not have an account set up, we create it for you, in your name, in the first week.

How long before I see results?

Ads and local ads produce leads within days of launch. Conversion fixes show up in the first month. Local SEO moves in 30 to 60 days, and competitive organic rankings take 3 to 6 months. The monthly report shows the trend for every channel so you always know what is working.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Every aStash plan is month-to-month with no contract. The management fee is fixed up front and your ad accounts, website and data stay with you if you leave.

What is AI optimization and is it part of digital marketing?

AI optimization (AIO) is the work of getting your business recommended by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Google AI Overviews when people ask them who to hire or what to buy. It overlaps with SEO and reputation work, since those systems read the same pages, reviews and directories. We include an AI visibility check in every audit and track AI citations in the monthly report.

Do you work with businesses outside Colorado?

Yes. aStash is based in Fort Collins and serves Northern Colorado and Denver in person, and runs campaigns for clients in Texas, Washington, Louisiana, Florida and across the United States. Digital channels work the same everywhere. What changes is the competition and the cost per click, which the audit measures before we quote.
