User Experience Testing

See exactly where visitors get stuck, then fix it

Traffic you already pay for is leaking out at specific points: a confusing menu, a form that fails on a phone, a page that loads too slowly. UX testing finds those points with recordings, heatmaps and real users, then ranks the fixes by impact.

The short version01

Your analytics tell you where people leave. UX testing tells you why.

Google Analytics shows a 70% exit rate on your pricing page. It does not show that the table collapses on an iPhone, that the call button is below three screens of text or that visitors keep clicking a heading that is not a link. Heatmaps and session recordings do.

We combine behaviour data from your real visitors with moderated tests where people are asked to complete a task on your site while they think out loud. Between the two you see both what happens and what people were trying to do when it went wrong.

Every finding is tied to a page, a device and an estimated impact on leads or sales, so you know what to fix first. Many clients run testing before a redesign so the new site is built on evidence.

How we test

Real people, real tasks, watched on real devices

We recruit people who match your customers and ask them to do what a customer would: find a price, request a quote, book an appointment. They talk through what they expect while they do it, and we record the screen.

Alongside that, heatmaps, scroll maps and session recordings from your actual visitors show the same problems at scale. Where the two agree, you have a fix worth making.

Six Tests We Run

What a UX testing engagement includes

Heatmap analysis

Click, scroll and move maps on your key pages show what gets attention, what gets ignored and where people click on things that do not respond.

Session recordings

Hundreds of real visits replayed, filtered for rage clicks, dead clicks, form abandonment and U-turns, with the patterns documented.

Moderated usability tests

Five to eight people from your target audience complete real tasks on your site while we watch and ask questions. Five testers find most of the major issues.

Mobile and device audit

Every key page tested on real iOS and Android devices for layout, tap targets, forms, speed and keyboard behaviour.

Form and funnel analysis

Field-by-field drop-off on your forms and checkout, so you know which question is costing you leads.

A/B test plan and set-up

The top hypotheses turned into controlled tests, with the tracking configured so you get a real answer, not a guess.

Why It Pays

Testing is cheaper than traffic

Evidence over opinion

Decisions about layout and copy stop being arguments and start being answered by what visitors actually did.

Fast return

Fixing a broken mobile form or a hidden call button can lift leads within days, with no extra ad spend.

Your real customers

Tests are run with people who match your buyers, on the devices they use, doing the tasks they came to do.

A prioritized list, not a report nobody reads

Findings are ranked by impact and effort. You can hand the list to any developer, or to ours.

Results

Testing finds the leak. Fixing it is the easy part.

What you get

A ranked list of fixes with the impact on leads

Findings are not a slide deck of opinions. Each one names the page, the device, what happened, how many visitors it likely affects and what we recommend. The list is ordered by estimated impact so the first fix is the one that pays most.

If you want, our design team makes the changes and we re-test. On a trailer manufacturer’s site, fixing the contact form and page copy took contact forms from 20 to 100 a month in six months.

FAQ

Straight answers before you call.

Anything else? (970) 399-9004 reaches a person in Fort Collins, not a call center.

How many users do you need for a usability test?

Five to eight per round. Research consistently shows five testers uncover most of the serious usability problems, and a second round after fixes catches the rest.

Do you need a lot of traffic for UX testing?

No. Heatmaps and recordings work with a few hundred visits. A/B testing needs more traffic to reach a reliable result, which is why we only propose it where it makes sense.

Will the tracking slow my site down?

No. The recording and heatmap scripts are lightweight and loaded after the page, and we remove them when the engagement ends if you prefer.

Is this the same as conversion rate optimization?

UX testing is the diagnosis. Conversion rate optimization is the ongoing programme of fixes and tests that follows. Many clients start with testing and continue with CRO.

Can you implement the fixes?

Yes. Our web team can make the changes on WordPress and most other platforms, or you can hand the prioritized list to your own developer.

How is it priced?

A flat fee for the four-week engagement, quoted after we see your site and traffic. Implementation is quoted separately.
